Accessories rocketfish wired headset, not very clear

I bought a rocketfish mono, wired headset from best buy the other day. 17 bucks I think. Anyhow, this is my first head set.

It just doesn't seem that clear, I mean, I can hear myself too, which I 'm not used to. weird and hard to describe, I guess if I had to try my best, I'd say it's lacking treble.

Any way to adjust this or is that just the nature of a cheap head set?

I love my Rocketfish bluetooth behind-the-head earphones

$50, stereo headset, A2DP compatible, sounds great (did change some eq settings for music, tho)

On your phone go to Settings -> Sound - > Media Audio Effects -> Wired Stereo Devices -> Enable audio effects. The phone has a built in EQ.. dunno how GOOD it is, though.

oddly, and I mean VERY ODDLY, this option has vanished! there is no "media audio effects" in the sounds menu.

what gives?

that's just it though. it WAS there. I found it when you originally posted that. but now it is gone! the "media" section of sounds>feedback is totally not there.

That's alright, I've since returned this headset and bought the ifrogz model. it's not much better. I've also decided that I can not possibly deal with wires. I'll be shopping for a wireless model that does not sound like garbage. I'll be starting a new thread.
