RockPlayer 1.0 release

R logo will hide once activated after purchase. We keep the free version a useful tool instead of a demo carefully, hope you enjoy it.

No problem with that R logo. But it would be good if it is little transparent.

Does anyone know if the purchased version removes the "R" icon on the upper left hand corner, maybe that will tilt my decision to buy.

Yes it does. No icon on the purchased version. As 99% of the videos on my PC (and those I acquire) are avi's, it's worth paying for, to save having to do any conversions.

Most likely the sound of that file is encoded by AMR family algorithm which is yet to be supported by RockPlayer.

PS, ArmV6+VFP runs Legend better.

That's the version I downloaded, but it just threw back a great picture with loud static noise. I could understand it happening with a movie, but on video filmed with the Legends own video camera ?

I'm going to try putting a DivX movie on the SD card tonight, just as a test.

FYI: pinxue, your first link has a misspelling, just FYI.

The actual link is still misspelled as "rockpalyer.freecoder.org". ;)

Only thing, i it turns the beta into an icon that just links to their website. Beta still seems to be installed, but it doesn't run anymore.

Actually, I think the beta simply expired. That's how I found out that it was available in the Market.

Does anybody know why I would require permissions for phone state and identity?

Probably so that it can pause when there's an incoming call. You don't want the sound to keep playing while you're talking to someone. I've actually had that happen with Zedge (which doesn't have that permission).
