Help Rogers Captivate Back to Stock ROM

OK, I seriously need some help guys. I was messing around with ROM's. Knew I shouldn't have been. I loaded a ROM and didn't like it. Wanted to go back and loaded a Rogers ROM to go back. It was 2.1. I couldn't get Kies to recognize that it needed an update.

I found what I thought was a 2.2 update and loaded it. It was an AT&T update. Now I have an AT&T boot screen, with Rogers loaded (I think) and it's 2.1.

I want to simply reset everything and somehow get back to Rogers 2.2. can anyone help with this? Please...:(
 
I managed to get an AT&T boot screen. Even after loading another custom ROM. Is there a way to get rid of that? Will loading that linked ROM do that?

Also pretty misleading that Titanium Backup does not backup contacts...lost them all.

Basically I would like to wipe everything out on my Captivate now and start all over again with the Rogers stock ROM and the 2.2 update noted in the linked page. Can anyone help with the best method and steps to do that? Thanks.
 
Nobody huh? I'm currently running Cog 4.2 since it was closest to stock, but I still have the AT&T boot logo and Software Update under Settings for example, which is an AT&T based thing. Would be nice to get rid of the AT&T stuff.

And now for some odd reason, all of a sudden all my contacts are back? How did that happen?
 
Got my device back to the stock ROM and v2.2. Finally. Well, that was fun...NOT. I don't think I will flash another ROM. Just not worth it IMO.
 
Please, please, please, how did you get back to stock?

I've been fooling around with this for a few days and can't figure it out. I have an almost stock rom now, but it still thinks it is ATT rather than rogers and there are a few things missing (most notably the exchange and hotmail account setup options in accounts and sync).

I thought I would try a different rom to see if I could fix the 2.2 bug with the internal SD card USB driver only seeing 2 gigs of space, but I couldn't find a rom that had the hotmail and exchange accounts so I am back to rogers, but now it doesn't have them either.
 
I used this program and used the Flash Custom Rom option (flashed back to 2.1) and then Flash Custom Rom and flashed 2.2. Both of the ROM downloads are here as another poster posted in this thread.

You might also find this link helpful as it address your issue specifically and goes about it another way.
 
D'oh

I saw that other post, but just thought it was a signature file or something as the top of the page looks as if it is just marketing stuff from Samsung. I should have scrolled down.

I also messed up quite abit and now I have a at&t boot screen too.
so I have to use that program and flash custom ROM (stock 2.2)
and my rogers captivate will be normal? T-T
