Rogers Phone on AT&T

Hi, I'm looking to buy an Xperia play phone, but I'm not entirely sure if it will come out on AT&T. I do know that the Canadian company Rogers has this phone and I can buy it off contract for $550. I am not an expert on phones and such but I know the main hurdle for using a phone on different networks is if it supports the cellular network. So, is it possible for me to buy the phone from Rogers (off contract), put in my SIM card, use it on the AT&T network, and work properly since they are both GSM?

Thanks.

It should work.

You would have to get a SIM unlock done (some phones can get this done through the modding community, others require the purchase of an unlock code. Best place for that imo is eBay since you can easily see reviews on the seller).

After that, you MIGHT have to manually enter in AT&T's APN Settings. I believe that this should be correct- http://androidforums.com/972734-post19.html
