ROM 2.73.405.38 Strange screen problem

Just updated my Orange UK Hero with the above generic ROM. Everything restored OK except that the 'Bookmarks' widget has taken up a position between two screens. If I touch it to try to move or delete it, I am told that 'HTC Sense has stopped unexpectedly'.

Does anyone know how I can remove the offending item?
