Root [Rom][5-3-12]Broken Out Rom 2.0

Hey everyone, This thread seems to have died out. MTmichealson seems to have left the discussion completely. I'm thankful to you MTmichealson for all your efforts on these ROMs, you did a great job. Anyone know if efforts are being made to further this ROMs development ie. making Version 2.0 more stable. I use Version 1.2 for its stablity but would love to see V2.0 taken a step further for its sheer increase in free ROM and RAM.

You're right, it's becoming dead on the thread. The potential is out there for the ROM, it can do so much more. One of the biggest functoinality issues I'm having is with bluetooth. Every time I try to connect a bluetooth device it freezes time (on the phone). Something very strange.
 
Is there anyway to disable the sms on the locked screen?

I dont like anyone just being able to view my msgs on my locked phone.
 
hi i was wondering i rooted my pantech breakout 4g lte and everything was fine went to reboot and stuck in bootloop apparently. Was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this. everytime i come to boot my phone i can get into recovery or if i let it try to boot it say developers screen basically cant do much because my laptop wont read the usb mass storage until its completely on :( please help asap thanks :)

I have successfully rooted my phone and installed this Rom some time ago. I was trying to get rid of the OTA notices and upgrade to 2.0. I'd actually be happy if I could just restore my phone to it's unrooted state. Here's what I did:
1. Made a complete backup of my current ROM.
2. Installed the Stock Rom provided in the post above.

Now my phone says a SIM card is not installed. However, I receive calls and texts, but I can't make either.

The phone is no longer rooted. SuperOneClick (which I used before) no longer works.

When I try to reboot into recovery, I just get the exclamation triangle & android guy.

Any ideas on what I can do to get my phone working again?

You have to use fastboot commands in order to flash the CWM recovery.img. And then you can restore back to your previous ROM backup.
 
The ADW Launcher doesn't look good, so i NOBloated it out of my phone. here's a suggestion for a new update:

Use Holo Launcher. It looks a ton like the real ICS launcher and is very smooth with perfect app drawer animations :

Having some issues here - the rom installed successfully. The phone boots, but after unlocking the phone and trying to perform initial setup of entering email address (phone just had been wiped) I keep getting non stop force closes for voice control and a few other things.
"The application Voice Control (process com.nuance.android.vsuite.adr8995) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Once I select 'force close' the message appears again right away. What is the issue here? What can I do besides restoring? Did I miss something? Thanks in advance for any input.
 
Ok, I had rooted my phone with All-in-one and used CWM, but didn't strip much out due to laziness. I also installed Titanium and SuperUser. I really wanted to use the Breakout on PagePlus when migrating from Verizon.

I also flashed to PagePlus and recently my phone went back to pre-PagePlus flashing, but post rooting. I'm guessing there was a Verizon OTA update that reverted my Pageplus flash. What probably happened?

I now want to simplify the ROM and remove all Verizon junk and then reflash to Pageplus again. I also want to prevent all Verizon OTA updates. I heard that this ROM is good, but after reading all 6 pages of posts, it seems the 2.0 version has issues, including OTA issues.

1. Should I use v1.2 or v2.0 of this ROM? Or neither?
2. Depending on either choice, do I first have to install previous versions to reach final upgrade?

My phone froze on the lock screen, I tried pulling the battery and rebooting. Upon reboot I have been getting a triangle "!" that says, "Sorry! Process system is not responding." Please help before I :dalek: this phone.
 
I would really apreciate if you guys could change the pantech messaging app for the aosp messaging app causeI have issues with the pantech app. Anyways you did a great job with this custom rom is a lot better than pantech's horrible UI and my phone runs a lot smoother now :-) thanks for your hard work
 
Just wondering if this rom is ever going to get an update. I know the phone is old and crappy but my wife has no choice but to use it. 2.0 is very quarky. Works most of the time but she gets random fc's, CWM reboots, ect. Like the rom but could be better. Anyone know anyother roms for this phone?

I flashed this and now this phone won't go past the boot screen...Do you know what can i do?
I wiped, flashed and rebooted. It shows the colored boot screen and then just turns off. Have to pull out the battery
