Here is the link to the thread containing the ROM: click here! Don't forget to thoroughly read the instructions.

Enjoy the ROM and post your thoughts below! (Ultimately this is what I wanted to do)

Finally flashed JB today (thanks to Lightswarm's help) and loving it! Only the third build and i'm impressed. Everything seems much 'snappier' than with ICS. I had many problems with ICS being a bit slow and slugish, thats not the case with JB. Mobile data, WIFI, gps all work flawlessly for me. Everything I use religiously they have included, and google now is definitely a plus to have.

Can't wait for the further updates. Wish they added the interface customization in the settings, but I can't be too picky it's only the third build :p

If anyone knows a kernal that allows me to overclock to 1.2 it would be awesome if you threw a link my way:D.

Wow my Fascinate is and has been running real smooth with JB, it goes further to not only the honescreeb but all the system applications. A real Android experience that rivals iOS. Now I want to try this kernel but I'm thinking if I even need it in the first place lol.

Flashing kernels are the same as ROMs, just be sure it Is capable is capable with the ROM you're using.
No problems with? Google Now, try the kernel maybe it can smoothen the butter.

I finally flashed it a few nights ago. Like Bdogg said above, it is super fast and smooth. I love the performance boost from it, but seems to drain my battery super fast.

I concur. Seems to built for speed. Not battery friendly...of course if u mess with the built in kernel setting Im sure u could get it nice and sweet ! Been to busy flashing to set up any particular rom.lol

Hmm, looks good, the Helly Bean.

But I'll stick with the AOSP, I like the clean feel.

@Droz: Press and hold the power button and the volume down button simultaneously until a portrait of your current screen is minimized and disappears. Enjoy!

Wonder if I could get some assistance...I am following this thread for installing JB on my fascinate (AOKP Android 4.1 ROM for Samsung Fascinate Verizon Android Phone [Jelly Bean])

I was using a stock GB device so first thing I did the CWM using Heimdall (under the Installing ClockworkMod Recovery section, I did not do anything with the Flashing CyanogenMod section)

I downloaded the zip file from here: encounterpc : index of /stevespear426/aokp/fascinate

Using the aokp_fascinatemtd_jb-build-1.zip

I placed that zip file along with the gapps zip file on the device. Booted into the CWM recovery section....did the factory reset...attempted to install the JB build zip file and it reboots but keeps displaying a "Samsung" logo over and over....

I attempted to do a battery pull and complete the process again (boot into CWM install from zip but does the same thing)

What am I missing? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated....Thanks

Disregard...finally got it to load...JB for the win:)

Only thing I can't get working is Google Now...it is not recognizing any voice commands...just keeps saying recognizing and then fails out?

Perhaps its a bad flash, I'd advise reflashing. So far, I haven't had a problem with Google Now. See if that works. Be sure to do the standard wipe (Factory reset, Dalivk Cache, Cache) in CWM.

D/L and installed, most things are working BUT I can't get any pictures to show up in my gallery. I know there are pictures in there but none show up. I can take a new picture and that shows up but nothing else.

Thanks for the help...got it figured out! Turns out nothing was wrong with the install...basically my work wifi connection was not allowing G Now connection. When I went home it worked great:)

Thanks for all you help!

If you have any questions about how to install the ROM you need to go over to my guide thread. Doing so reduces off topic discussion and ultimately I, and the other members, are able to assist you more efficiently than having to scan through all these posts for your questions.

I'm really enjoying this rom! it's fluid and most everything works great except that i'm not receiving a notification for new voicemail messages? I'm not sure if this is a common problem or not so i thought i should ask?

Okay I have a strange problem. I flashed the rom after coming from a gingerbread rom called powerwashedGB and now I lost over a Gigabyte of app storage. My phone only says it has 468 MB for app storage. I know the phone itself has 1.5 GB of app storage. Can anyone help me reclaim my lost storage space?

Steps I took:

1) Flashed clockwork recovery mod using odin (did not have re-partition checked)
2) Wiped data/factory, and chace partitions
3) Flashed AOSP JELLYBEAN (The lastest september update) via CWM
4) Flashed gapps via CWM
5) Rebooted

Its up and running but like I said, lost over a GB of app storage.

Any thoughts?

Its possible that it is the ROM taking up that much space. I could be wrong but sometimes it does happen to be the case.
