Hey, appreciate your work on this. I haven't installed the ROM yet but I was wondering, is it possible to disable the onscreen navigation buttons on this?

yeah. under the settings in es file explorer make sure everything under root settings is checked and then edit the file /system/build.prop delete the lines
[HIGH]# on screen buttons
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0[/HIGH]

Installed this morning and I have to say it looks promising - very smooth and clean. Unfortunately I couldn't get my exchange account setup (which I need) so I had to switch back. I'd love to try it tho if we can get exchange working.

I really liked your first rom. Does this one have the inverted AOSP Messages app like the other one did?

not now.. i may switch to that one.. or add it in.. right now ive got it using messaging7 looks just like wp7... everything works as it should... plus im a fan of their messaging app

if anyone can throw up some ideas of what the best exchange mail app to throw in i will... personally i dont use it. and the lg email app just annoys me. so i normally remove it.

I tried loading emoze on this rom this morning before switching back and it wouldn't authenticate. Possibly a cert issue?

In the slimdroid rom they have the black statusbar instead of the stock. I really like this but personally don't like the other stuff about the rom. I think it would be pretty awesome if we could get that in the next rom.

If you would like the status bar from this rom all you will need to do is.....cd to the directory with adb in terminal/command prompt. and do

adb pull /system/app/SystemUI.apk

this should pull that file and put it on your computer. then all you need to do once your on the rom you want is cd back to the directory with adb. and do

adb push SystemUi.apk /system/app

and reboot and you should now have the black status bar with whatever rom you like :-)

Anyone else having a problem w/ google calendar not syncing? It keeps saying it's having problems & I should wait but never works. I don't have a problem w/ that for any other ROM.

I had this same issue. The best thing to do I found was to uninstall that one from the system and redownload it from the play store. You'd have to use a system app uninstaller though like titanium backup

I appreciate the reply. But I'll probably be sticking w/ a rooted stock ROM until some kinks get worked out (namely, usb connection issue). But, if there was a custom ROM I'd go w/, it'd be this one.

everytime I try this it says that 'adb' is not recognized as an internal command...?

What is the CD command? I'm really new to the cmd prompt side of developing. And what would be the path to the adv file add well

Open the command prompt, then type 'cd' without the quotes. It means change directory. The path to the adb file is somewhat unique for each person. For example, if you put the sdk directory on your desktop, the path would be something like this: c:\Users\'your_username'\Desktop\sdk\platform-tools

usb connection is no longer a problem for me... ive been using airdroid.. il probably include it and the working wifi tether in my next update... but on this rom i get a good 9 1/2 hours of life on 4g with wifi tether on the whole time running pandora on my nexus 7...

Just out of curiosity, what would be the result of me doing this while on the cm9 rom (pulling the systemui.apk) and then pushing it in a different rom??

from cm9 to a kanged version of cm9 it probably wouldnt hurt anything... but i doubt that the systemui.apk from cm9 would work with a stock based rom
