Root [ROM] barebones420 RC1 10-30-12 (update zip added)

Alright,so the script went differently this time and it was successful. I went back to ROM manager and rebooted into recovery and Superuser stopped working but my phone is currently in the recovery menu. What do I do from here? Thanks for your help so far, btw

I eventually got the barebones to download, but when I tired to install it CWM said the file is bad. Probably just a bad download but after it happened on the 2nd download too I gave up.

must have been a bad download... i deleted my origional and downloaded it from the link and its running good for me... i havent had a single reboot or fc

if you keep getting reboots try getting a overclocking app and turn the processor down a notch or two... that might help

Make sure you have the rom zip saved on your sd card, then wipe system, cache, go into advanced and wipe dalvik cache. Then choose install zip from sd card, choose zip, find the rom zip and select it. Once it's done flashing, reboot and have fun.

Now that I plug my Spectrum to the computer, it does not give me the usual "Select USB Mode" option. It does, however, show the usual "Slow Charging" notification. Do you know what could be the problem?

I don't. I remember someone else having the same problem though. Do some searching and I'm sure you'll find it.

I got everything fixed and I flashed the ROM but when I rebooted, it said something about the LG setup tool missing or something. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be like that or not but anyways, the ROM is great! Thanks for your help, ortrigger! I know more experienced people tend to get annoyed with newbies and such but hopefully now that I've flashed my first ROM, it should be easier for me. Great ROM, bones420la!

No problem. It is supposed to say that about the lg setup tool. The nice thing about flashing roms is that it's pretty much the same process every time you do it.

Many are having problems enabling USB debugging with the ICS rom in general. It is mentioned in this thread - http://androidforums.com/spectrum-a...pdate-trust-me-your-answer-probably-here.html

The last scenario says:
The situation : Your phone is on ICS and now you can't get it to connect to your computer no matter what you try.

The cause (1) : Something in either the unlocked kernel or in V7 itself turns adb off and doesn't turn it back on. This is either an init setting we haven't fixed or something in usbhub switching.

The solution (1) : Reboot your phone with it attached to your computer. ADB starts on boot always and so does the USB hub. It's a PITA, but it's the current work around until we find the real issue.

Thanks. I CAB'd back to stock v7 and Rooted (only) using PG's one-click and was still experiencing the same issue. Did a Factory Wipe from System Settings and the option came back and stayed put after that.
