Nah Im just screwing with you, this thread was all in good fun, but I'm willing to bet a mod will take it down, which is why I used an alt account.

:P maybe Phenom (or anyone) can make this a reality tho :D
 
Nope... Just upgrade device... Plus No offense to phenom cm11 is bad on the elite well because its KitKat and this phone was not made for it... I personaly think the only upgraded ROM that works great for the elite is phenoms aokp 4.2.2... It could but with a slight chance... Be possible to make a port of android L to the elite but the lag the slowness the battery drain... It would be no where near usable IMO...

KitKat runs fairly well in my experience and I used it since its initial release.

I'm sure L will work but its another case where if phenom will be able to get it to fit on the system partition or even get it to boot.
 
The problem for me is battery a single reboot takes alot of my battery and it eats battery(without much apps) But I have to give it to Phenom he did make a pretty sweet port of kitkat! But for now even if there is a L preview port it wouldn't surprise me :P. Can you tell me what tweaks you've made for cm11?

I'm testing a different rom right now but off the top of head:
Max Clock: 1.613 GHz
Min Clock: 268 GHz
Governor: smoothass
I/O: noop

Dev Options:
-Apps
Don't Keep Activities = On
Background process limit = At most 2 processes
 
Same... except the governor was different. Well I have no Idea what much I did to tweak harmonia but I get lots of battery life and K actually have alot of free ram(thus I changed from Aokp to harmonia)
Anyways hows the battery for you?

Battery life on Cm 11 is pretty decent. 1hour on standby with some screen time at 97%.
Unfortunately cell standby is just destroying battery life for me.

Whats your Time without a signal? mine says 87%.... wow thats really bad. So bad that the elite may be my last phone from Vm or any phone that uses sprints tower.

I guess Tmobile 30$ prepaid may have a better signal. Although the Lg Volt is a very nice phone for the price. Really nice size. Kind of looks like an upgraded Elite.

As for porting if I doesn't have the same andriod version I have no idea how you would do it. Best to wait intill the source is released . But L has alot of eye candy that the elite might not like.
 
I guess it is decent for kitkat ;)
And No I use my elite on wifi only(Until I get a newer device for tmobiles 100$ four plan.
I've always been on T-Mobile the only reason I got the elite was when I had to wait for my LG L9(Which was a huge disappointment No way I'm buying another LG phone)Have you thought of what phone is good for T-Mobile( I refer to it as if it can be rooted install cwm and if it has much development)
On topic... I honestly think L preview won't play so nice with an elite :(
 
Check the KK thread for tweaks that I made as well. Please post comments there so that we can track issues in one place. Only issue that I have with KK is that the older GPS app doesn't always work well. It seems to crash 1/10 times. Also, I can't access contacts directly from within the GPS app. All things considered, that's the only issue I have and the ROM is solid otherwise.

Also looking at T-mo's plan down the line :-)
 
Couple of years late :confused:, but are there any working links to the Kit Kat or other Sprint Optimus Elite roms?
It seems most of the ones I have read up on are all dead links.
