First here are some helpful IMPORTANT tips:

1. You need to be Rooted. Guide HERE.

2. You need to have the latest version of View attachment CWM.zip

3. You should make a backup of your current ROM. Guide HERE.

4. You MUST backup your 3G(If you've already flashed a ICS or JB ROM, this wont backup your 3G). VERY IMPORTANT.. GuideHERE.

DOWNLOADS:

CM11.zip from HERE. (237.6 MB)

ICS baseband.zip: HERE
-- HERE is the Gingerbread Baseband; if you would like to go back to Gingerbread ROMs, you must first flash this baseband using the same steps

Hey guys! Didn't think we gave up, did you!?

This has been on the F2 G+ Community for testing, but as it seems everyone has had NO problems (see bottom of post) I'm ready to post it here!

How to Install CyanogenMod 11.0

1. Reboot your phone into "Recovery Mode".
-Power down the device, then hold Power and Volume Up until you reach the Recovery Menu; once there, use the Volume buttons to navigate, and the power button to select.

2. Select "mounts and storage". -Select yes.

3. Select "format /cache". -Select yes.

4. Select "format /data". -Select yes.

5. Select "format /system". -Select yes.

***WARNING; DO NOT FORMAT /SDCARD1 OR /SDCARD0***

6. Select "format /cust". -Select yes.

8. Go back.

9. Select "wipe cache partition". -Select yes.

10. Select "advanced".

11. Select "wipe dalvik cache". -Select yes.

12. Go back.

13. Select "wipe data/factory reset". -Select yes.

***If you are on the wrong baseband continue;
if you're on the correct baseband skip to step 17***

14. Select "install zip from sdcard".

15. Select "choose zip from sdcard".
---Navigate to the "ICS_Baseband.zip" and press power to select it.

16. Select "install zip from sdcard".

17. Select "choose zip from sdcard".
---Navigate to the "CM11".zip and press power to select it.

18. Go back

19. Select "reboot system now".

-- The ROM by default has transparency disabled since we have so little RAM, but you can flash the View attachment TransparentStatusBar.zip file attached.
-- If you flash that, then decide you don't want a transparent status bar, then you can flash the View attachment NonTransparentStatusBar.zip file attached.
-- The ROM can be safely overclocked at 1,288mHz but do note that it may affect battery life.
--The ROM includes Google Apps (gApps) so you only need to flash one file!

**Known Bugs** **

1. Won't work on T-Mobile's network. Don't know why.

Now for some eye candy, here's some screenshots!

Thanks for the kitkat.

Observed small issue, magicjack app kept saying 'please wait'. Reverted back to slimbean 4.2.2 and this problem disappeared. Is this something can be fixed?

I grabbed the Kitkat ROM from the G+ community and while it largely works great as far as reliability and battery life, I'm having 2 weird issues;

- Can't broadcast an AP signal for tethering.
- Missed calls and calls that can't connect.

The first I could take or leave but the second is pretty important. At least 30% of the time I try to make a call, it never connects. Trying again and it goes through. I also live within sight of a tower and with my phone in my pocket, I'll never hear it ring but will get a notification that I have a voicemail.

Neither of these issues I had with SlimBean. I don't know if it's overclock related or just something screwy with the ROM.

On a more subjective side, I don't feel Kitkat is worth the upgrade. It's not as lean as I'd hoped. No faster than Slimbean.

Looks like it's something with tethering, not just the WiFi. It won't even USB tether. It's like it crashes and restarts constantly, it keeps showing up and disappearing on my computer.

I tried to go back to SlimBean 4.3 but couldn't get root no matter what I tried. Things just acted weird. I'm back to a backup of this ROM and tried the non OC kernel but that had no effect on tethering. I think I'll just live with it until I get a better phone.

Another issue I've noticed is that if I get no service, the phone will restart some time after. Doesn't happen any other time. It's happened twice now, the first time the phone actually restarted twice. The second, I just shut the phone off after it restarted.

I am working on a port that has, as far as I can tell, a few of these items working just fine.

Give me a few to iron out the kinks, and I will post it for you guys.

Strange that it does not work with T-Mobile, I had an Ultra Mobile card in it, and it worked fine (which uses T-Mobiles towers) the network even said "T-mobile."

**Update**

Here is the ROM I ported; this is not simply an edit of the OPs file, I did a full port and made all the edits to this file, but I am hesitant to start a thread for it because it is the same CyanogenMod version.

I did not combine the ROM and gApps, so you will have to flash those files separately.

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B2K-JpOs-zBjTjRXS0s2M1NkRjg&usp=sharing

-USB Tethering works
-So far, no reboots
-No errors when flashing

*Still not working* (working on it)
-Wi-Fi tethering
-T-Mobile network

If you have issues, PM me so we do not clutter up the OPs thread.

Thanks ZeRoseDev, I tried your build and got USB tethering to work although I had to press the button several times but it did work. WiFi tethering, as you said, still doesn't work but I'm eager to see what you come up with. Thanks for your work!

WOW! Just WOW!

Working Awesome. I think (cant say if its true ) is faster than the other one.
Bluetooth works, dididnt work with the other.

Transparent statusbar? My phone is just for calls, sms no apps but heavy online wifi browsing, will it affect perfomance?

BTW and off topic- would love to see a touch-based recovery, my volume buttons are weird now.

Last but not least thanks for this and taking your time for us Fusioners.
Really apreciate your work ZeRoseDev!

Edit: Is there a way to change carrier name? I have Pure GSM but phone displays AT&T its not important/not a big deal but i dont like it. Stock rom displayed my actual provider.

Thanks for the awesome comment.

You can use xposed and the gravity box module to tweak a bunch of settings, including carrier label.

I'm not at the PC, but if you need the link I can get it for you.

Thanks. Installed Busybox first, then Xposed, then Gravity box. Opened all exept gravity and installed inside app. Apps asked for reboot, rebooted phone and got stuck at CM logo, waited about 15 minutes but was still stuck. Installed again ur rom, phone too longer than usual to boot(about 15 to 20 mins ) then rebooted on welcome screen, booted again and booted fine have been using it for about 10 mins and now seems phone is ok but turned phone off and then on again like 3 times and phone boot at&t logo then the cm spining logo then again boot to at&t logo then again to cm logo but booted fine and havent had a problem. I dont want to lose my phone so i will leave it how is now because i cant afford another. Anyway thank u for taking ur time helping me and sorry for the inconvenience. :) :)

Doesn't work on T-Mobile, though it does work on other carriers if the phone is unlocked;including some 3rd party T-Mobile services like ultra mobile.

WiFi tethering won't broadcast.

And as mentioned on the above comment, may have issues with the Xposed framework mods.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I may play around with xposed to see what it does on the fusion.

Sorry for the late reply btw.

Congrats on getting it back working.

:D

Sweet.

Glad it's working well. Hopefully I can iron out the rest of the bugs soon.

Send me a message if you notice any more bugs.

Just wondering... but is there is still a chance of fixing the wifi tethering? or has the project been abandoned?

I get an error (status 7)
Installation aborted

When I do
17. Select "choose zip from sdcard".
---Navigate to the "CM11".zip and press power to select it.

(never mind, tryed it a 5th time it worked)
