Thats a kernel issue were having were trying to fix the issues your having

I also have tried this ROM! I am VERY Interested in fixing it! Im currently working on the Kernel..a Phones not a phone if you cant call anyone..... with that being said, I would also like to see if we can get Lollipop running on our nifty little mustang! anyhow, cyber, do you have any possible answers for the kernel? Ive been testing different stuff and I haven't had any luck so far.

Umm i can say is trying to flash a kernel for the rom version but needs to be on your device, for some odd reason im not fully experienced with building kernels but i have some that do, lately they been busy so im unable to contact them st this time, glad if anyone could help

have not had ANY luck with this damn kernel... I feel like I have no idea where to start.. I honestly don't know where I would fix the NO SIM Bug... which is my main concern.. im taking another kernel out of a different zte rom and seeing if I can change it to be compatible with z998... hopefully I can work up something. this is giving me a headache.

any luck on contacting whomever you were going to contact? or any luck with the kernel?

Okay, I think I found a fix. for the sim error and for the Lock screen freezing crap.. But we need an updated CWM Recovery. supposedly 6.0.4.5 .. but I don't know if that's installable on this device.. the theory goes, that you install the updated CWM recovery which supports KK, then you flash the cm11 rom.. I guess it has something to do with the baseband changing. anyone wanna see if they can give this a whack? or have any comments lol?..
