Root [ROM][GB][EXCLUSIVE] Thunderbolt MR4 Sense 3.0 Leak [DEODEXED/DEBLOAT]

i wouldnt get my hopes up for this to be a vzw OTA. the full ruu is in footballs folder, and is titled "OpenMobile_US" and not "VERIZON_WWE" like every other RUU weve had.

my guess is that the TB is headed to other networks. the radios may work, but may not be optimized for vzw/lte

as soon as i can get the RUU downloaded im gonna flash it and see if it has any carrier branding or bloat :)

i could be completely wrong, but it will be interesting to see what the results of this could be :D

I'm using the radios now. Flashed them last night. My download speeds and upload speeds improved. It's the first time I've ever hit 2mgb down on 3g.

Though Ive read conflicting reports of slower speeds also.

So I flashed the Rom. There is no bloat at all. One minor annoyance, the status bar shows evdo instead of 3g. So I'm thinking scotties right.

ive got 8 minutes left on the slightly older (i assume-237000 vs 237338) full RUU

ill flash it and let you know if i find anything different

its flashing now

from extracting it,it doesnt appear to have had an hboot change. wich is prolly good ;)

yes, definately headed to other lands, not a vzw update. you have the familiar htc splash screens, but then you have this for boot animation:

you have this at the language screen:

and you have this for a default wallpaper:

the "verizon" scene is gone,as is ALL vzw bloat. not one bit of it here. only reason youre seeing vzw in your status bar,is that is the netowrk youre connecting to.

not that its all bad... this will fo sho be an excellent base for developers :)

Wow for some reason my boot animation nor wallpaper match yours lol. And I did a full wipe/ sys format.

the boot animation was prolly changed out by the rom dev whose rom you flashed. he may have changed the default walpaper as well,or google may have restored your last one.

i assume you did get the puerto rico options on the language screen?

member,i flashed a complete ruu in hboot- hboot, recovery, radios, and all... not a rom in recovery :)

Ooohhh didn't realize you were flashing the ruu.

Yea I had the Puerto Rico language option also. How's the radios treating you so far?

cant really say,im on wifi only for a couple days  picked up a used gnex thinking i could swap sims back and forth to find out the gnex uses a smaller one. ordered some sim adapters,so hopefully that works to easily change between that and the TB

edit: hmmm if you enter the programming menu,in the prefered network menu theres an option i dont recall seeing before: LTE(with voice) kinda sounds like the LTE band may be able to be used for voice somehow,in place of the usual CDMA bands.

Verizon is releasing voice over lte sometime in 2013, so that could be why you're seeing that....if HTC is taking that into consideration

dumb question. can you flash this RUU just using the bootloader and all the verizon RUUs? I tried that and failed...

is the RUU failing with a CID error?

if so,you can try putting the PG05IMG on a "gold card" wich basically tells the phone not to chech the carrier id of the firmware its about to flash. id pick up a spare 1 or 2 gb sd card to make a gold card from,if you want to try it. directions are here: HTC Desire: Updating To Froyo (Official OTA) For Network Branded Handsets | Mike Southby

you can also try to change the CID of your phone. if you open a command window, and put your phone in fastboot, enter the command "fastbooot getvar cid" and it should tell you "VZW_001" indicating your phone is a verizon modle, not an open mobile model.

assuming you are revolutionary s-off,you can try the command "fastboot oem writecid 11111111". this is known as a "superCID" and basically lets you flash any carriers thunderbolt RUU(right now there are only 2) if that command appears to work, run "fastboot getvar cid" again and see if the output this time is "11111111" instead of "VZW_001". if it is,you can flash the RUU. just make sure you are revoutionary s-off,or you wont be able to flash a different RUU to get back

i do not know if the eng hboot is enuff to change the cid of the phone... it may require the radio secure flag to be set to s-off as well. if you try it,let us know if it works.

also be aware flashing the RUU instead of the rom really doesnt give you any benefit. i just did it so i could report what differences there were in the on-modded firmware. :)
