Root [ROM] ICS/CM9 m835

For the people that have the weird cursor that I am not getting at all.

1.Download the rom.
2.Depending on what you are running you may need to get a u8150/u8160 recovery. (Will post later)
3. Create a backup in cwm.
4. In cwm wipe data/factory reset, delete dalvik cache too.
5. START THE OLD ROM YOU ARE USEING FIRST.
6. Let the old rom set up.
7. Reboot into cwm and flash over cm9
You're ready

*DO NOT WIPE DATA AFTER/RIGHT BEFORE INSTALLION, YOU WILL NOT HAVE DATA/MMS/SMS AND I AM TO TIRED TO GET WIFI WORKING WITH THIS.

Any updates ??? i never paid atention to this thread this is awesome ! I JUST GOT CM9 ON MY m835 BUT THE SCREEN WAS MIRRORED .. but alot of things worked no problems as bluetooth . NO DATA btw or wifi i could have gotten it to work if it i gooten into settings but it was like doing rocket science using the screen mirrored .. maybe we could tweak this working atleast wifi .

I am tweaking this to work with wifi, Bluetooth however i have given up on, I just can not get it to work no matter what, if you can help on this it would be great

i kinda got wifi to pop up than flash off by editing data/misc/wifi .. changing the kernel , might work . but you have to edit boot.img which i have no idea to do as of now ..

DOesnt work constant fc of everything and when put in airplane mode reboots unstable ..

It helped me flicker wifi on and off, still doesn't work properly though.

How the hell does ICS run on this phone? It can barely handle 2.3.x Oh, by the way, BUMP.

-EDIT- I tried to flash this over, gave me a bunch of junk and error in zip folder. Status 7, install aborted.

I also tried to flash in ROM Manager, says I need different recovery, no 835 or 8150/60 in list.

I dunno, LOL but I tried. Did I do something wrong?

Maybe that's why I can't get it to flash LOL... I'm running 3.0.0.5 CWM. What version of CWM 5 will work on the 835?

i used cwm 5.watever for the ideos u8150 n it flashed back when i had it.
didnt have service on it(play fon) BUT icscDID boot n run on mines
it was pretty buggy, but it was like this time last year

Already tried that MIUI ICS a month ago. It runs HORRIBLE!!! But it does boot and touch screen works. I don't think 835's 149 MB of RAM can handle it

i don't have my original m835, but im prolly getting another one for chits n giggles.
when i DID have it nstarted this thread, i flashed CM9/ICS THEN flashed DT's A2SD script in the same recovery session.
id imagine that now with V6 supercharger by zeppelinrox latest it might hold its own.
