M.I.V. ROM

What started as a ROM I wanted to just mess around with has morphed into something semi-decent that I wanted to share with you guys! Having no real name behind the abbreviation, this ROM is like the name, able to be changed into ways you imagine it.

We all know the risks of flashing something to our phone, your warranty is void, but I'll feel bad and try to help as best as I can
Even though it wipes it for you, wipe the dalvik-cache after the rom installs at least two times just to be safe
1: download ROM
2: place ROM in SD card
3: flash in recovery
4: reboot
5: profit.

Based off of Hydra 2.0
De-Odexed
Contains giantpune's kernel
Full size: 152MB

Removed Google bloatware
Removed SSA.apk
Removed music.apk, replaced with Apollo.apk (IMO it's a better music player, and a better UI)
Added DSPManager for an all around better listening experience
*Uses GoLauncherEX
*Added Perfect Keyboard as an alternative to the stock keyboard
*Added JuiceDefender, ROM Toolbox Lite, AnTuTu CPU control, and Titanium Backup

*These apps are my preference for the purpose they serve, but are user apps and can be uninstalled if you want.

Why it's a flashable zip is because I tried to include it into the actual ROM, but I got an install error. Until I fix it, here you go. (not updated yet, go ahead and use HoloGingerIce by the wonderful Starkraving!)

v 0.1 (Unreleased) : Nothing of importance
v 0.5: Did some research using Artine's helpful threads, and made some improvements with the help of kenharkey7
v 0.8: Themed and slimmed ROM
v 1.0: Full release! Improved the theme, swapped some apps. For a full list of apps added/removed as well as the power menu, see main post
v 1.1: Install error with v 1.0, fixed that in this version
v2.0: Took a shower (rebased off of Hydra 2.0), put on some new clothes (New Launcher, removed the extended power menu), and has that new car smell.

If you mean add more icons to the dock as far as I know the stock gb launcher only supports 3 so if you want more you would have to replace it with something else

Let's use your ROM as an example. You know how you have the phone, contact and text message apps at the bottom of the screen, and they stay at the bottom of the screen when you scroll? I want to add something like that, instead of having the phone, app drawer and mobile ID thing at the bottom.

Yeah, that's what I planned on doing, but I didn't know stock only supported 3
 
You might be able to find a modded version on xda or something if you are intent on using the stock launcher

Yes it does, but he was asking if he can do it without needing to change the launcher, zeam for example supports 7 icons and 3 pages, so 21 icons total
 
Have you released any version of this rom yet? If so I am blind to your download links. Usually people only post releases when they have the actual rom to offer.

Sorry guys, I've been up the past twenty five hours on a bus, and didn't think to change the title. Give it a few minutes, and I'll repass the one I'm currently using. Its not perfect though

Suggestion, get rid of advanced task killer, task killers do nothing really that the phone itself doesn't already do and from what I understand can do more harm than good. Also it looks like your took a lot of... Inspiration... From my post lol
 
Alright, will do. I didn't know that task killers weren't good. And for using you as an 'inspiration', I didn't really notice I was doing that, I'll change it up in the future. So sorry if it seemed like I was copying you!

Hmm. Were you getting an error in cwm/twrp? If so what did it say? Might just be a bad download, or it could just be that the theme is old lol. I'll download it right now to test it out

*Edit* Old updater Binary, will be fixing soon when I get a day off of work
