ROM Manager question

I install BuglessBeast then make a backup of it. I then installed some kernels to overclock my phone. The kernels I tried caused my phone to restart so I restored my first backup of BuglessBeast. Wouldn't it need to, or be better to, do a full wipe like it did before I installed BuglessBeast?

I havent used rom manager but if it functions like it is intended its not necessary to manually do a wipe....... as this is done automatically when you restore the backup.......

when you restore a backup image it completely rewrites all storage space to exactly how it was when the backup was created
