Root ROM Manager - renaming BUs - finding them

I'm assuming RM has issues with running a backup. It doesn't initiate a backup once I am in CW recovery.

I can run the backup manually, but can't rename them (I like to name the ROM and date at least).
Once I go into RM and try to "manage backups" nothing shows up.

I saw that in CW recovery folder, in root explorer, the BU shows up in my sd-ext -- so I copied it to my sd - and it still doesn't show up in RM.

Any advice? Am I out of luck using RM as a whole?
I just want to label a few ROM backups and be able to access them readily without having to decipher the numbers that the backups are assigned.
Thanks

Most likely you used a 'special character' when you renamed the backup, which CWM doesn't like. Oddly, a space is considered a special character.
Don't use ! % $ / \ ? or 'space', there may be others, but I know those are problems.

All I want to do is rename in RM under "manage" and my current BUs don't even show up.
So I haven't had the chance to rename.

Going to try renaming in Root Explorer and see if they show in CW correctly.
