downloading 4.5.3 now. cant wait to try it. will post feedback tomorrow sometime.

okay terminal emulator works after a market update. and wireless tether is working fine now. may have been a bad flash last time. im using the rom now and will keep it till the next release. im going up little at a time with the overclocking. 787Mhz smartass is working fine. battery life is great been moderate use since 10 this morning and still have 81 percent.

Another thing i noticed is the internal storage is about half of what i had on velocity 1.2. is that in the to do list? i have only 52mb of storage left. usually have over 100mb .

That's odd, it uses the same dalvik2cache method that Velocity uses to keep your ROM space free... is this on 4.5.2 or 4.5.3?

4.5.3 i used link2sd and all apps are on sd card. cant get over 52mb. i had the same problem on stormdroid.

Flash back to 4.5.2 and let me know if you have the same problem. If not we will revert to 4.5.2 source to build the next alpha.

Initial impressions:

- I have over 100mb free, although all I have added so far is quadrant.
- Seems pretty snappy performance wise.
- I would like a little bit more stock looking startup animation, the android guy all blinged out isnt my style lol.
- The green letters on white notification bar is a little hard to read.
- I didn't have any problems with wireless tether even after reboot.
- Good call on having Titanium Backup preinstalled.

Problems:

- I can confirm that Terminal Emulator is broken.
- Android market on the web no longer sees my phone. Even after downloading quadrant from the market app on phone. May be issue with market and not ROM but haven't had this problem before.

The Market problem sounds like a Market problem to me. Will update Terminal Emulator to the newest version and check missing lib files or symlinks. I noticed the writing was hard to read sometimes too, but I didn't quite get to finish the theme when my Ally bricked :( I will darken the icons up a bit for the notification bar for the next release once my Ally gets here.

Thanks for the feedback!

Dont know, I flashed back to my Nandroid Velocity 1.1 backup of just prior to installing Overstocked, and now it "sees" my phone again. Maybe a problem with how the app on the phone is reporting back home? Guess if anyone else has this problem we will know.

I'll take a look at the Vending.apk and MarketUpdater.apk and see if I put in the ICS ones, that might be causing the problem.

There is one of the MIUI music apps that would be great in this ROM. I'm not sure what version of MIUI it was in, but they changed the app in the newer versions. It had a widget that could take up a whole screen and show the album art and lyrics like the actual app does. I'm not really sure why they changed it. I'll dig through the files and see if I can find that version. It is awesome.

That would be awesome!

2: decreased Vibrator Amplitude from 125 to 100

Wow, I am now thoroughly impressed. I remember debating whether or not this was possible via software in a thread a few weeks back, and I would have bet money that it wasn't. It is instances like this when I love being proved wrong. Can't wait to try this out as soon as I get my recovery working again.

kudos to everyone

Well I did some research on that version of the MIUI music app. Unfortunately the full screen widget can't be added to this ROM. it only works with the actual MIUI Launcher. That really sucks. I'm going to see if I can strip just the launcher from the ROM and see if I can make it work.

Done via build.prop editing :)

People have been working on that for a while, there is a ported MIUI launcher but it isn't fully functional.

Whats not functional about it mr firmware? I use 3.0 on my ally and everythings fine=) except for a few jiberish notes.

No notification toggles, random app crashes, widget issues, sluggish performance... at least for me when I tried it... drop me a link to the one you use and I'll give it a test drive :)

I have the ported version of the launcher, but it still only supports the 4x1 widget and not the 4x4 full screen option. I do have an app that supports it. It is PlayerPro which has the music addon widget in the market. It is a paid app and I won't upload the cracked APK. It isn't fair to the developer. I went ahead and bought it. It would be an amazing app in the Overstocked ROM though. :(

I've found another app that people may like in this ROM. It's a bluetooth file transfer app that will transfer any type of file. I installed it and gave it a test run. It truly will transfer anything, from apps to contacts or anything else you can imagine. The best part is, it's completely free. Here is the link if anyone wants to check it out.
