This Rom has great battery life. I'm currently 15h 17m 6s and 63% stock (on a 2 week old build).
If you want speed, and battery life, OMFGB may be the Rom for you. Give it a shot.
I recommend installing this over Cm7 or MIUI so that you have CWM 4.0.0.5. Otherwise, you will not be able to install GAPPS from the God Mode app. Alternatively, you can download the GAPPS zip to your SDCard and install that regardless of what CWM version you're on.

Cheers

Do you happen to use LightFlow and know if it works on this ROM?

It doesn't work on CM7 but I suspected it was because of CM7's special LED implementation in the settings.

So, as it turns out, LightFlow works perfectly on this ROM.

Very happy to have that app back.

I like this ROM. Very snappy, simple, stable. There are a few things I wish I had from other ROMs, but unfortunately, there's very little middle ground - either full-featured, or completely stripped down.

Not sure if anyone knows this, but if this is "pure" Gingerbread, do mods work from other "pure" builds/devices (i.e. Nexus S)? I would expect most of the OS-level mods and tweaks work work fine, but I'm not sure if "pure" Gingerbread really means it's close enough across phones that mods will function the same.

Right when I install Shuji this comes out. Well I'm going to be at a concert next month so I'll use 720p for that an then maybe I'll give OMGB a try

Aside from battery life, I'm enjoying OMFGB very much. Everything works and it's wicked fast. The only tempting aspect is the battery life of OMGB...hhmmm...I'll have to wait and see :)

yeah i havent tried omgb im going to try miui out again when i get home, and then omgb and who knows what rom after that, but i know i will need to stay on one, im getting tired of setting my homescreens up each time, and having to restore certain apps through titanium backup

Confessions of a flashaholic right here :p

I must say, I have been bouncing around between OMFGB, CM7 and MIUI. I like them all, but when it comes down to it, I am a minimalist and want my phone to be fast and functional. A little bit of flare is fine, but just a bit.

I decided to give OMGB a try. I have been using it now for a little over 24 hours and think this is the ROM I will stick with until I retire my X. It's fast, functional and has "OK" battery life (better than CM7)

I wholeheartedly agree. Two weeks in and it's easily the best Rom I've run till date. Won't be going anywhere any time soon. I'm surprised OMGB hasn't received more buzz.

Maybe many people like the "pizzazz" of MIUI or CM7. After trying CM7, MIUI, and will probably try OMFGB.. I just don't know if I *need* the 2nd init ROMs. Battery life is just bearable with each of them while phenomenal on ApeX/Liberty/Shuji even with the phone overclocked. I do like to be well informed, though, so I will probably be trying this ROM out shortly.
