Root ROM question

Hi guys,

I was wondering if there were any ROMs for the Droid 2 Global built from AOSP? I'm upgrading from a Droid 1 and I feel a bit spoiled with all the awesome ROM options, then I look over here and I don't even see any mention of CyanogenMod...

So then, enough nitpicking, what good ROMs have been built for this phone?

Check out GummyJAR and Fission. They are as close to AOSP as you can get. I personally really like GummyJAR.

Last I checked, GummyJAR doesn't support the Droid 2 Global, and you run a big risk of making your phone unusable (at least until you SBF). Fission is the only stable ROM for the D2G, as far as I'm aware.

I am a noob here, and I am not sure even HOW to put the Fission Rom on my Global yet (or if I will), but one thing I do know, if you have the Global as I do, you seem to be limited to Fission. (Not that that is a bad thing!).

If I had not sent my rebate in so fast, I would have waited for a Droid 2 ( non-global) to come into the store. Now I am "stuck" with the Global.

I know. I am just bummed that Verizon sold my wife a Global. I have no need for its abilities - it is not like I am a world traveler!
