Root ROM questions for rooted SMN900v not to be used on Verizon network

Hi all,

I have an SMN900v which I intend to root but NOT use on Verizon's network.
This phone will be used on the TracFone network.

I see ROMs for assorted "smn900" phones including the 900v ROMs.

QUESTIONs:
For this unit should I chose a 900v ROM anyway?
Would I want to?
Can a rooted 900v take a different ROM, such as one for a 900 or 9005?
