Root [ROM] [R910] EXODUS 0.6 CWM or ADB script install

OMG! the download link page bamboozled me soooo many times. Like "which one is the real page for the blasted download!!!!!!!" LOL. Not complaining... just sharing.

By the way I hate factory reseting everytime... is this cwm thing an easier way? I dont quite understand and what is cwm stand for? sorry this is my first smart phone and I did install the rom and its nice. Thanks.

Sorry about the link when he went to upload it lastnight something was going on with my ftp. I since linked it a little further down with my working link without all the bs.

T3XAN I dont understand... I read that we have to read the cwm thread for directions but I
dont see it??? I messed up badly... I had to flash back to stock with odin

Edit: After 3 fresh stock bacups from odin I will now throw in the towel... I read this thread over and over, I dont see where everyone got the cwm.... I will just wait see whats next. Oh well.

To get CWM you need to look at the CWM thread...

I tried to download the link and would get a 'download failed doesnt support phone". Is there something I'm missing?

I downloaded and installed the ROM last night and so far it is fantastic. It has increased the battery life in standby mode and also increased my wireless network range. It also gives you the % of the charge on your battery at the top and tells you what speed you are getting if you drop out of 4G (ie 1X).

I also downloaded the tethering software mentioned earlier in this thread and it installed and works perfectly.

Also, Morpheus is one of my favorite fonts. :D

I have found 1 issue, but it is not major. I tried to change the ringtone for one my contacts to a Sound and it crashes android.process.acore.

That's all I've played around with so far. If I find anything else I'll post.

Wonderful Rom finally able to download it thanks to cwm but my home button doesn't work anymore and whenever I try to reboot it doesn't let me

I believe with a bit more clearer directions I would have got this thing working last night, I searched this thread an the cwm thread an I didnt see anything about opening it. On here the directions was written in a way to guys who already know what the hell they are doing lol. This is my first smartphone so cwm an roms and all of these things are new to me. NOT complaining. Just sharing. I was reading different things and tried to do them all at once lol smh. carry... Good work to all of you working on this phone. Thank you.

Now it wont turn on! lololol stuck on the samsung screen after I installed the cwd update through clockwork... Now its back to odin an one more try. smh.
 
Heyo everyone,

I just need to put out a warning, don't download the file that says CWM Exodus ROM 0.6. The clockwork mod one is not working for some reason, and I'm looking into it. It might actually just be a corrupted file, but on the safe side please don't download this. I'll do my best to get a working CWM version up asap, until then just use the script.

After reading all of the posts, I finally got impatient or the nerve (pick one) to install this Exodus CWM rom. I've been in reboot hell for the last 2+ hours.

After using ODIN 2x, then I read Silvist's above post NOT to download the CWM version of Exodus.

I just have one word to say: DAMN IT!!!!!

I know ... it's two words ... but I really feel like an a$$ for not waiting for the "final final" version.

Sorry ... just venting ... because my timing sucks.

Just dont use the CWM version. You can install the .bat version without touching the loader.
So even if you have CWM the .bat version is still safe.
 
Not for nothing, but having the real Netflix app on this phone would be one of the best things that can happen...Period! I mean how many people (Including myself) have an account with them. Before this phone I had a MyTouch 4G and I watched Netflix on that thing all day in college. It was absolutely fantastic (Also watch on my 3DS). If you guys can get it to work on .07 that would be beyond amazing in my eyes. Once again thanks to the makers of this rom (Looking forward to getting a real kernel) and Silvist if you ever want to change or make another rom with a different color scheme that color I mentioned would be super dope...Just an idea ;-)

Heyo again everyone,

Well after tons of testing, and fustration; I finally got a CWM version of exodus working. I'm going to finalize it tomorrow, and it should be up in the evening. Thanks to k0, DR, and shabby for their help with it all (mainly k0 though lol).

Thanks again for all your patience! I tried to get this out as quick as possible, without rushing it along, and making sure it was flawless. Just CWM is still in beta, so there's still some things we gotta learn from it, and work out kink wise. So this was a huge learning experience from me, and I will probably from here on out, I will use CWM versions only.

I big shout out to Baysiderider for letting me know all the details on what was going on with the CWM version. Thanks to him I was able to narrow down what needed to be fixed, and with k0's help I was able to finally finish up.

Come along ways, and more to come. In case you guys haven't noticed the ROM's progress is only going from 0.1 to 0.2. That's because I hope to include a custom kernel in the 1.0 release, so look foward to that! What that'll mean it custom boot animaton, and other fun tweaks (like over clocking :D). Though the overclocking probably won't happen till later on.

So far for 0.7, I got that people want the following:
Netflix app
Tethering app
Adding more customized icons
Working on a custom dialer and custom keyboard for txting.

Anything else you guys like to see?

lol In regard to the purple request, that's a HUGE request. I would practically have to make an entire new theme in order to do that. I really want one theme decked out first, before me and T3xan go and make others. Though we will look into it. Really all it takes is recoloring the images, so feel free to try a hand at it if ya want. Also it seems like alot of people are not aware this rom exists, so please spread the word if you like it! Feedback also helps us figure out what to add next, and how it'll grow.

Note to T3XAN:
Yeah, that's right its not from your FTP! Because, it hates me, and denied my file upload lol. Feel free to rehost on your ftp! ;p

AWWW you didnt have too i was just doing my part to help out but thank you and i plan on running the rom again as soon as my backups are complete......
