Root [Rom] Stock

This is unrooted
If you want root you'll have to flash the SuperSU-v0.98+.zip from the Clockworkmod Recovery thread

Instructions
Download the Stockrom.zip
Boot into CWM
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik cache
Install Stockrom.zip

hey just wanna say thanks, this works better for me than the odin stock lol. Just a quick question though, my volume keys are real sensitive and when I just press them one the volume jumps really high, or occasionally where I want it to go. Any ideas to fix that?

I deal with same thing and i remember looking into it a while back. Ill see what i can do? Also check out your low battery alerts people
 
Didnt find any problems with battery alerts and just in case anyone is wondering, if u want vibrations with your text that menu has been changed up a bit so just set it in the sound menu.
 
When I flashed this ROM it came up with the activation thing and said that my phone was successfully activated, but when I went to make a call it said that it wasn't. What's up with that? :confused:
 
its the hidden menu were you need the MSL code to change things i mite be calling it the wrong name in the dialer you do ##3282# and you get setting you would normally not want to mess with but there are a few that you can that could make network speed a little better
 
I flashed this stock ROM over back to stock, now when my phone boot I don't have the boost or Samsung boot animation but I have the shutdown animation, any help
 
Only thing I have noticed....when trying to show contacts to display in your contacts list it comes up and says SIM card initializing and does nothing. Any ideas?? Other then that it runs fine.
 
The phone will take a little while on first boat :p for those wondering why the screen stays blank for many seconds.
 
Flashed the ROM was LK7 but was able to update. But now everytime I unlock the phone the browser comes up with the url vision.sprintpcs.com.. how do I get rid of this? Thanks!

You need to set your desired homepage in internet settings

Okay.. so that is the default home page.. why does the browser come up every time I unlock.. is there a way to change this?

NM.. It was the browser shortcut on the unlock screen.. removed shortcuts and all good!

I tried to copy/paste the file with root explorer and I got a warning, "You cannot paste here because the file system is read-only". How do I add the file that that folder?

Edit: NM.. I figured it out.
 
Thanks a lot for the rom, I've been messing with it for way too long already and I just got this phone yesterday. Been a long time Prevail user and just needed something a little bigger and snappier.

Has anyone cleaned out all of the bloatware that can be cleaned out from this yet by chance? If so it would be great if you could share it!
