Root ROM suggestions by votes.

OK. The reason I made this thread was for hopes that someone can make a voting thread with 3 questions.

1. Which rom gives you the battery life?

2. Which rom gives you the best overall performance?

3. Which rom was the most stable for you?

If anyone can slap together a voting thread that would be awesome. Add more questions to the voting thread as well.

And yes. Please do include the stock rom as a choice as well.

1- Carbon 5.1.1 (so far the best I've tried but radio/signal is very weak) and it acts weird when the battery gets lower than 15%..

2- Candy5 (very nice but it does not have a lot of features).

Cm12.1 rc6 with the kernel from rc5 is going to be the ROM that performs best and is most stable. I always use the kernel from rc5 with every lollipop ROM because it gives the best overall performance. The bankermod kernel included in AICP, Resurrection Remix, Candy5, and Blisspop(ugh Blisspop) makes the phone lag and overheat whenever you try to do anything while the phone is charging.

You can get the rc5 switcher and restore zips from my thread or some of you might still have them downloaded. When you use those zips you will be using hroark13's rc5 kernel. That is what I do. If you don't use or feel the need for switchers and system r/w then just grab the restore zip.

so i grab the restore zip on rc5 and flash on rc6 and i will get the kernel with out overclock option just to make sure dont want to screw no more sorry for been so dumb so i uses this retore zip

are you guys all using this phone on metropcs? because most of the time when im reading and about to flash something, out comes the word metropcs and ill step back, not wanting to brick my phone..

and lets say i use rc6 rom, do i use both rc5 switcher and restore from that point on? or rc5 switcher + rc6 retore?

Most of us have MetroPCS but hroark13 who built CM, PAC, & Carbon, has the Univision model and Ethanbanker2428 who built all the other ROMs has the T-Mobile model.

metro i think u could use any custome rom for metro zmax on tmobile zmax not sure mastershief is the guy to ask
My point was that any zmax ROM will work on any zmax. It does not matter whether you have the MetroPCS, T-Mobile, Univision, or Walmart Family Mobile variant. As long as your phone is a ZTE Zmax any of the Zmax ROMs will work. Worst case scenario is that you have to flash an extra zip file along with the ROM to get the proximity sensor to work correctly.
