Is this better than Basic Rom 1.2?

Well, I am probably biased, and shouldn't be answering this, but I will anyway. Basic Rom doesn't remove any system apps, it leaves the bloatware on your phone. I made the kernel for the newest basic rom, and the kernel for ubuntdroid, the one in ubuntdroid is better. But for most people it's just a matter of personal preference, there's always going to be things you like about 1 rom and not another, so it's really just about comparing them & seeing which has more things you like.

Hehe I knew it might be hard for you to answer. Was waiting to see if there would be a better ROM coming soon with 3D drivers and whatnot to improve benchmarks however I am experiencing a lot of lockups and FC's with Basic Rom so I guess I'll give this one a shot. I wish restoring everything was quick and easy...

Well if you're lucky you won't have to worry about that...this rom deletes most of /data, but leaves your apps, texts, and contacts intact. The only downside is, if you're flashing it over something with force close issues, then you may keep those issues, depending on which apps are force closing. If it's system apps, this should fix it, if it's market apps, it probably won't.

I rooted my gfs phone using a rooted kernel and swupgrade therefore she doesnt have inxane recovery...how do i get inxane on her phone so I can install a custom rom for her? Ugh, should have got her an evo, i know what im doing with that thing lol.

Edit: Problem solved. Running this rom and her phone is much better now. I don't even mind using it now and I wanted to throw it away before. Great job. Saved me money I was about to buy her a different phone.

currently running this rom and its awesome the phone is alot smoother now only have had 3 force closes on programs. overall for this being my first rom its awesome worth the time rooting and such to gt this

So iF Flash this zip in recovery iWill BooT Into this rom...And btw i dont have a market i do but it force closes everytime i open it does this rom come with a new market?!

When I flash all goes smoothly till phone boots. Seems to be going well but gets stuck on a blank screen and will not progress further. Any advice? Same thing happens when flashing other ROMS.

Having a major bootloop issue with ubuntdroid. Can't get past the splash screen with little android guys popping up everywhere. It just goes to black screen and back to splash screen and won't boot up. Tried recovering to backup and it still goes back to splash screen for ubuntdroid instead of factory settings.

My wife has an Intercept with PlatinumTel (prepaid) which uses the same network as Sprint and it is a Sprint handset (complete with Sprint logo). Will this ROM work on the phone? Does it matter that it is a different carrier, or does the common network allow the ROM to work for either?
The stock 2.2 on the phone is not very good and we'd love to improve this phone.
Thanks
