Root Rom vs version vs adp install

I have the bionic on version 5.5.893. Rooted. I deleted the stock calendar app with Titanium backup, I made a backup before I did but Titanium will not restore it. I have tried their troubleshoot and everything. Anyway, I was thinking of doing a restore but I will need a new rom or build or something. So here are a few questions.

Is the 5.5.893 version an actual rom? if so, why is it almost 700 megs when custom roms are only 150 megs or so?

For me to get this calendar app back, do I flash the 700 meg 5.5.893? or should I use a custom ROM.

I have also read that with me having 5.5.893 I can just download and then copy the stock file to my phone (even if it was not rooted) then perform a system restore. If that is the case I need to know where to download the stock file and where exactly to put it on my phone.

I think this might be the file I need, but I am not sure.

Thanks. I didnt put this in my main post because i have tried a lot of options and it would be a lot to type them all out. But I do have a version of calendar.apk and calendarprovider.apk. I tried "adb install" but I got user incompatibilty (or something, i forget the exact error).

I noticed you said to copy it though, rather than an adb install. Is there a way to just use windows explorer and copy it over?

No.

If you install ES File Manager or similar, you can just move the files yourself.

Thanks for the help. After I try to c
opy I get an error. "copy of calendar.apk failed"

I reset the phone and tried a few times, no luck

I got it copied. I had to mount the system directory as "writeable"

I tried to click the file but it gave me an install error. I reset the phone anyway and the calendar app does appear but when I open it i get "The application calendar (process.com.android.calendar) has stopped unexpectedly.

Well, i am getting closer (maybe)

This is being a pain. I tried a few other options and still no go.

Dfib, If i use your install for 5.5.893 that you have here

Will this put my phone back to factory? Will it then have the calendar app? I have only had the phone for a month and not a lot on it. I can easily reset my emails and contacts etc.

Yes. You will be completely stock. Backup everything using titanium back up. Flash wth rsd, log in, root and then restore using titanium backup.
