I have had my Verizon Droid X since Aug 2010. Now curious about rooting. Tethering is my motivation, but I am sure that I will find others once I get started. I realize that there is a lot of information out there, maybe too much. What is "Good" info and what do I need to stay away from.
I would like to do a root that is reversable if the need arises.
Also - Since my fat fingers sometimes create typos on the virtual keyboard, I think that I would prefer to use a method where I do most of my typing from my desktop computer, If possible.
Any/all help would be appreciated.
