Root access check lagging in apps?

Program has verified the phone is rooted but apps that check for root access lag endlessly while attempting to verify root access such as SD Maid and both Root Checkers. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Depends on your phone. If you have a slow phone, it will take time. If you have a higher end phone, it won't. My GS3 has no delay when checking for root.

Thnks for the reply. I had no delay when checking before attempting to root the phone. I've had 2 different programs return false for root and also say it's rooted. I'm basically playing tug of war here and I can't figure out whether or not it's rooted because root applications just lock up :/

Turns out it installed SuperSU which confirmed it was rooted but still no luck using root access only apps... Decided to factory reset and unroot the phone. Back to start until someone decides to write a script that will root it properly.
