ROOT Advice needed :)

hey guys

I just got Galaxy S2 (nordic) and i want to root it. I red several pages with all kind of explanations regarding roms, kernels..ect But i still wanted to be sure so i posted this thread.

I need recommendation for rooting method that will suite best my phone. Also i am not sure if there is any significant benefit from instaling custom roms (other than appearance). Any advice here would be also very helpfull.

All in all my first priority is to get rid of unwanted apps that drain battery and that i never use (stock apps that cant be removed), optimize battery life and getting access to custom apps that demand root.

Rooting Galaxy S2 - A Dummies Guide

If Carlsberg did rooting guides.....they would probably do a far better one than this load of dross!

I am not totally sure which kernel i should use for that guide?
Also is there any alternative way of rooting SG S2?
