Root Root all NXT (ICS)

Bin4ry over on xda has created a script that should root all NXT phones, xperia s as well

Root MANY ANDROID! - xda-developers

This should work on locked and unlocked bootloaders, so if you need to root head over to this thread at xda

Note that Bin4ry's method doesn't work if you have updated to fw 6.1.A.2.55. At least, that is definitely the case if your bootloader is locked; I'm not certain, but I suspect an unlocked bootloader would not help in this instance either.

Unlocked bootloader is easy to flash custom roms.

set up fastboot.

put a rooted stock kernel in the folder of fastboot. mine was ics18.elf
When in the Fastboot folder hold shift and right click Start command prompt here.

then something like, fastboot flash boot ics18.elf

Done. From here, you have a recovery, you can flash what you like.


Locked-bootloader: No idea, mine wasn't locked.
