Root Root and Jelly Bean

Hi,

My Xperia S got an official update to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 last friday, may 31 trough Sony PC Companion.
After that the root was gone.
I tried to root again with bin4ary root tool, but the phone hangs on the "display" screen and that is it, nothing happens!!!

Is there any other way to root Xperia S with Jelly Bean 4.2.1??

if the bootloader is unlocked, flash a Auto-Root + CWM kernel.

Bootloader is locked.
If bootloader needs to be unlocked, what is the best/easiest way to do that?

You can flash an ICS ROM, root it and then flash the update VIA OTA. I hear some people have kept root.

To unlock the bootloader, if it is unlockable that is. Go here.

and follow the instructions.

Bootloader cannot be unlocked!! (NO)

So, is it possible to flash to ICS, root the phone and than upgrade to JB-Prerooted?

And is this possible with bootloader locked?

I hear it is possible, flash ics that is pre rooted, then do the ota.

OK, this is what I did.....

1 Use Flashtool to downgrade to ICS
2 Install RecoverX (FIXED) for ICS
3 Copy JB Prerooted to sd-card (don't unzip!!)
4 Reboot in recovery and install JB-Prerooted
5 Have fun!!
