Root Root and Rom issue

I hope someone can help! I have rooted my Samsung 8.9, verified with Root Checker. I am trying to install the official ICS Rom, which I have on the root of the drive. However, following the instructions, rebooting, I go to Android System Recovery, apply update from sdcard, select the file, and i get the error:
E:Short write of /tmp/sideload/package.zip (No space left on device)

There is plenty of space, i wiped and data.factory reset. The Rom won't run, any thoughts or advice please? I really thought I was all done!! Thanks
 
that actually might be an issue WITH the Root.
atleast thats what i see in the research, un-root the device and install the update the stock way?
 
I'm in the UK, so can't rely on the OTA update sadly. The Root i used was "tab-89-root_original.zip"...is there a better one to try?
 
Somehow, I have now managed to make this work. A combination of instructions from different sites. I think the problem is, there isnt one simple tutorial....all of them presume you know something about the other various elements. All done now though, and loving it! Thanks
 
Hi Magicmat, Can you share which ICS Rom and Root file you used? or point me to where to download them? I have tried a couple of different root files for my 3G 8.9 but with no success so far! Would be great if we had a UK rollout of ICS too, but no sign of it coming.

Only takes a minute and very reliable.
