I know this is for the Epic 4G, but this is an official tweet from @Sprint "Sprint & Samsung are working to release Froyo for Epic ASAP, but only after it meets rigorous testing criteria to ensure quality experience." What this means is that once they get it we will get it shortly after it.
I wouldnt count on it, samsung and sprint have been saying the transform is suppose to have 2.2 when released and that was a lie and than it was suppose to be by the end of 2010 and that was a lie. Also, their top of the line epic doesnt even hve it so if it hasnt got it yet than its mid line transform is pretty low on priority im guessing. so their word means nothing to me
Just remember Speeder, Google pushed out the stock 2.2 update for the intercept after Samsung failed to do so (Mindyou the Intercept has been ouut longer than the Epic) which means if we find any evidence of Samsung and/or Sprint promising 2.2 we can take them to Google and say that they didn't deliver and wewant our 2.2 its as simple as that, and hopefully if push comes to shoveI can help make that happen.
