As most of you know, Samsung has released the Metro 2.3.6 update for the Admire, but I wanna know if anyone is working on a root for this release. Anyone?

Call me ignorant, but why would you want it? Spz0's OA2.3 is 2.3.6, as well as other roms. What does the new update have that the Android 2.3.6 doesn't?
I just wanna check it out and be able to remove bloat

Once you try it ....i dont think you could go back ....because that update doesn't have root access as yet ....

Hmm do I need root access? Cause when I got my cousin phone pure stock un rooted I use cwm to get monster 5.3 and I didn't even ask for root permisions or anything like that or idk what I did lol
Was his phone running on 2.3.6

CWM can be installed once you move to 2.3.6, because you don't need to be rooted to use it. So, make a backup first, Use the updater, then flash CWM in Odin, make a backup of 2.3.6, and you can switch back to your original backup ;D

When you first Odin CWM however, you won't be able to restore your original ROM, so you'll have to switch CWM versions/
