Root for LG Escape 3

Has anyone rooted their LG Escape 3? I've been trying for hours, I obtained root temporarily with Kingroot, but my phone will restart a minute or two later and root is gone. I've been driving myself crazy trying, and was wondering if anyone else has it figured out. Running 6.0 marshmallow. Thanks in advance!!
