Root gone bad

[Android Question]

My fiance rooted his phone and while altering and moving some files the phone crashed and will no longer come back on... Any ideas as to how to recover the system settings or install a new android OS? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

That depends on the make and model of the phone. For some it's simple, for some it's pretty complex. And if it's a really cheap phone, it doesn't pay.
