1st off... Hi.

Now thats out of the way, I have some questions that I need answering, I'm sure they've been asked before, I'm sure there is already another thread in the 1000 sub-sections somewhere on here and I'm sure they are relatively simple. However, being a n00b to this rooting shiz and not having all the time in the world to trawl through useless threads I thought I may get somebody nice enough to give me some straight instructions!

Ok, I have just rooted my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.7(UK Wi-fi only SM-T210) using the process described over at XDAForums by Jamison904 (Insert Link Here Then!)

I followed each step and my tab sure enough restarted with the SuperSU. When I get to the last step(Open SuperSU and update binary) - I can't seem to see what that means? I open SuperSU and have no apps showing under 'Apps', No logs showing under 'Logs' and no binary-type option under 'Settings'?

Now... I'm aware I'm being stupid, this is not up for debate! But I don't want to successfully root and then not actually complete the process!!

While I am here, I also noticed posts regarding recovery? Is this now something else I need to do to get the best of root? I only really wanted to root to remove annoying bloatware - Which, on first look, it does seem as though Flipboard has been completely removed when attempted.

I guess, being very very n00bish n' all, I just would like some friendly advice and guidance on what the hell to do now!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated - Feel free to move this thread to the right place if needed too :smokingsomb:

I'd recommend you install the custom recovery and flash a custom ROM. Custom ROMs usually have all the bloat removed so they do all the work for you. The XDA forums should have all the steps for recovery and for a custom ROM that you choose.

Do I NEED to do that? Sorry, I should mention I just updated SuperSU through GooglePlay which then prompted me to update binary successfully(Duh!). So do I actually need to do the other steps? I can imagine having some sort of recovery is pretty important, but now I have enabled the removal of bloatware do I need a custom ROM, or can I just continue hacking away at the tabs innards at my own peril?

Thanks for the speedy reply btw.

You don't NEED to do anything else. It's your phone and your decision. :D

But, since you've come this far, why not enjoy the benefits of root. The stock ROM is still just average even if you remove bloat. These custom ROMs allow you to experience new "life" to your tablet.

Just remember to do a (nandroid) backup of your current set up if you do get a custom recovery/custom ROM

Download root cheaker. It sounds like the root method you used didn't work. Also was usb debugging on when u rooted
