Root Root help please...

I've had my Nex7 for a few weeks now and I've decided to take the plunge and root it. I know how to do it (having done it on my GNex some time ago) but the problem is that I'd rather not lose everything on the tablet and start again. Is there any way to keep all the apps, games and the rest of the stuff and just load it again in one hot after rooting?I know that Titanium Backup is helpful but doesn't the device have to be rooted before you can use it?

Unlocking the bootloader will do a factory reset, theres no way around that.


You should have unlocked the bootloader as soon as you got it so that you can root anytime without losing data

Yeah..I did know, but when I bought the N7, I wasn't 100% sure that I was going to keep it (already have an iPad3) and by the time I decided that I couldn't live without it, I'd already loaded a bunch of stuff onto it!
I was just hoping that there may be some way to load it all in one hit!
