Root Root Help?

Hi, I just rooted my Droid X, and got rid of some junk pre-installed apps that I will nevwr use like City ID, and Kindle. Now however, when I try to uninstall an app tha I downloaded from the Play Store like Inotia4 for example, I can't uninstall it, and when I try to go to Settings>Apps>Inotia4>Uninstall, it won't uninstall and it gives me a message saying that the Settings process is not working or the Play Store process isn't working... Could anyone please help me with this problem? I also got rid of Package Installer... should I not have done that...?

Welcome to Android Forums. I moved your question to the sub-forum where root-related discussed.

As a starting point ... you should be looking at "freezing" and not "uninstalling".

correct you need package installer
you should not delete stock apks, rename by adding .bak or better use titanium backup pro to freeze apps

you may have to flash sbf (firmware) with rsd lite or ezSBF
what system version?
menu>system>about phone

It's 4.5.621MB810.Verizon.en.US
And do I need those other stock apks like Blockbuster, City ID, and Kindle?
I also found another problem: I can no longer download apps from the market (I did a factory reset thinking it would solve the first problem, but it didn't)

One last question: I don't know why, but my Droid X isnt updated. As in it has the Market app instead of Play Store app, how do I replace the Market app to Play Store? I tried looking under system updates, but it said that my Droid X is up to date

varies from rom to rom
but in general, no bloatware, more custom options, maybe better battery life, some are faster.
stock is based on android 2.3.4, miui is 2.3.7, liquid is 4.0

2.3.4 is the android version for the stock rom (621 sbf)
if you want 2.3.4 just flash the sbf with rsd lite

if you want something different install one of the custom roms listed under 621 roms, in my list

Lol sorry for being such a bother, but this is just a note: I don't have an active data plan on my Droid X, it's my uncle's old phone, and he switched his data and stuff to his new one, so I don't have any data plan on this, I just use my WiFi at home to browse and other stuff

link is working fine for me, but you can
use one of the other sites listed in the instructions
just look for 1FF-p3a_shadow_cdma_shadow user-2.3.4-4.5.1_57_DX8-51-120111-test-keys-signed-Verizon-US.sbf.zip

Hopefully this will work, and I can use my Droid X without a problem before all the mistakes I made. Thank you so much for all your help, I deeply appreciate it very much! :D

2.3.4 is gingerbread, 621 sbf flashes 2.3.4
sbfs are pretty safe, just charge battery before trying, and read instructions

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much! It worked like a charm, except now, there's a blue triangle thing in the notification bar. How can I get rid of it? I don't like it :P

I believe it is the no service icon, about only thing that can be done is turn on airplane mode, but then you will have the airplane icon.

it didn't show up before, because the the phone was once activated, flashing the sbf, reset that.
