I just ran it and it didnt seem to stick. While it ran everything it was doing was saying it failed. Gonna try again and will report back

updated, added supersuer.apk and busybox.

You don't simply get to take the hard work of another person, wrap it in a script and say "thanks". Unacceptable as h*ck.

Remove my work for your scripts please.

Was just using what was already on the web. was just trying to help those whom don't want to use command line.

Generally people ask first.

I don't do one clicks, as I want uses to learn to use the command line. It's obnoxious helping them when they (and someone always does) messes up, if they don't know how to use it. Also if you notice, everywhere it is reported, at least the ones I know about, link back to my original posting as the source.
 
wow jcase. Not like the guy is making money off of it. He was just trying to help.

Thank you for your efforts dspl. I need your script because I'm not downloading that su file from that crap hosting site it's on that wants me to install a download manager.

Consider this the last one for the spectrum from me. It's my work and I have a right to expect the common courtesy of "hey may I?".

You can download su from a number of places, or compile it yourself.

just use the SU from PG's allinone or from mtm's root. where i got mine from.


Jcase, i am sorry for that. I did that because the leaked root scripting listed on android police doesn't work directly. I did not know you were the creator of those extra lines. when i posted in that other thread. i only used http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...root-the-lg-intuition-and-lg-spectrum-on-ics/ and no where there does it say "jcase". i only responded back to your post saying that the leaked root still worked becasue you asked.

Actually, it does say jcase. No wories, next time just give me a heads up.

It should work as is, we did it over and over to number phones. The extra lines, are the exploit itself.
 
I see your name now, I skipped right to the spectrum section. :(

Many thanks for your work jcase....if it wasn't for you and all the hard working devs....we wouldn't have the community that we have now.
