I would like to root my Klu tablet so I can install Google Play.

The build Number is:

RK292X_ANDROID4.1.1-SDK-v1.00.00
JRO03H 20130803

First you have to make sure USB debugging is enabled download kingo-root to your PC connect your klu to PC with USB debugging enabled open kingo-root let it connect it will ask if you want to root click on root let it do its thing then your klu will reboot and now you have root now you must install busy box there you go hope it helps.
