I'm wanting to root my Nexus S 4G. I've had it for long enough that I can say that I know my way around it well enough that I won't screw anything up permanently, but I just had a few questions, since this is my first Android phone and the July 11th update will be my first update.
How does updating the phone affect rooting? I'm not planning on installing any 3rd party roms like clockwork, I just want to root the phone.
Lets say I decide to root now, when I update on July 11th-15th, will I lose the root?
In order to update my phone, do I have to unroot?
If it does unroot my phone, will the current root method work on the new update?
