Root Root Not Sticking

I keep losing root access for some reason. Foe example I can load any rom but after about an hour I cant use apps that require root. Like cache mate or titanium backup. The apps tell me I dint have the required credentials. So I go to better terminal and type "su" and wait for the "#" so that I know I have root but it gives me an error. So the only way to get root back is to reboot phone.

Now my question is why does this happen? Is it because I never flashed the bootloader or phone?
