Root Root now or after ota ics update?

Hey all. I'm always one to root asap especially with news of the delay with bringing ics over ota. But lots of times in the past it seems wise to wait due to incomplete roms. But I want to tinker with my phone give it ics and overclock this thing. Any suggestions? And if more people lean towards yes what's a good rom that still keeps some of its sense sexyness

i would go ahead and root. there is no benefit to waiting until after official ICS,IMO. you have the ability to root now,and after,go ahead and do it and have some fun with your phone. :)

I like your style compadre. And of anything later I can unroot. I'm always more understanding when I've had a few drinks in me!

lol! :D

that is one good thing about HTCdev. not only can you accept OTAs with an unlocked bootloader(provided you have the stock recovery) you can re-lock,and re-unlock as many times as you wish with your original unlock token :)

edit: almost forgot.. check out this thread: http://androidforums.com/rezound-all-things-root/500005-what-ics-sense-rom-you-using.html

im running sense redefined and its very smooth, functional and stable. not polished like stock, but awsome for being based on an early leak

yeah i wouldn't wait at all either. Just make sure you make a backup using CWM or Amonra once you get it on there.

Sweet I'll try that tonight. I always make a backup except when I rooted my incredible 2 I backed up stock rom and when I went to restore it before I sold it md5 sum was faulty and I couldn't do it. Guy was pissed cuz it had a sense 3.0 rom

I would recommend amon ra at the moment. Cwm has some bugs still at the moment. The biggest is not charging a dead battery.
