Root ROOT Problem...BEWARE....--->>>>>>>

I am getting ridd of my BB and going back to the behold 2.What is rooting and will that make a big difference performance? Im always looking for ways to change things,i guess thats why i like the 4-5 different screens. Can you help me. Thanks Charlie
