Root Root questions

2 questions.

1 I read the install guide, and it seemed like this was about the same as rooting a phone. Does rooting this device give you the ability to access more of the onboard storage, and 2. Can you use a rom manager to access either the stock rom, or something else? Is there any reason to do so?

Rooting lets you install market (or any other app), rom manager, create a backup in recovery, backup your apps with Titanium. It also lets you mod your NT.

It IS the same as rooting your phone. :D

OTOH, it lets you do stupid things that could cause you a headache so you need to be good about that recovery backup if you're doing risky things.

2: Rom manager lets you backup, restore, install other roms, (and restore your original when you don't like them). It doesn't let you dual boot between a stock and custom rom, but that will be coming (2nd rom on the sdcard).

The main reason for doing this will be to install apps from Market that B&N Market doesn't have or charges $ for.

If you want to repartition your NT, there will be scripts available that do that OR you can ask B&N to do it. Seems like a few places do, but most don't have a clue yet.

AFAIK, they haven't gotten into any kind of recovery screen (stock or custom) yet. So nandroid backup and restore is out at the moment.

of course and who knows how long that will take. It'll probably take awhile for Rom Manager, but there should be an alternative entry for recovery (like we have with the Touchpad).

Nook Tablet has a locked bootloader and the kexec exploit has been closed as well so we probably wont see anything other then an android 2.3 type of rom on here like CM7.

Ok, I have the NT rooted and google and android market on, what I want to know is how in the heck do I delete the stupid apps that came WITH the tablet? I am sure it is easy and yes I am fairly noob so someone help me out ;)
