Root Root questions

Alright well lets start here i'm on a Samsung Transform Ultra one month old and well iv been thinking about rooting it but i have my concerns such as i'm not a rich kid and in a long distance relationship. so if my phone is one of the 5% of the fails i'm pretty much single but not only that but other things but anyway i just have some questions like does the computer matter {BTW i'm on a laptop Intel core Windows 7} ...Or does the amount of storage on your phone matter most of my internal memory is used up but still have memory on my SD (8GB card)..i have allot of my phone running on different things (Go Launcher,Go locker...So on ) Also have many pictures and music , another concern would be i'm using "one click root" (If i decide to even do it it depends on the replies of you) The first link is broke but second link isn't but is different from the first link and i would rather be using the first like because of the instructional videos. so that i DO NOT mess up in anyway shape or form, also my last question would be (If fails) Is there ANY software that can restore my phone to normal(Out of box condition) Or will my phone just have to live out the rest of its days as a very expensive paper weight ?.... Thank you all for your replies your replies will help my decision allot, With that being said you . Thankyou.

Take a breath man it will be ok...

What is your reason for rooting? Only you can decide if it's worth the risk however small that risk is (I don't believe 5% of the attempts fail and I don't believe most fails lead to a bricked phone). But if you have a reason to root and think it is worth it go for it... but if you're like me and just like messing with stuff for the sake of messing with stuff, it may not be worth it.

but anyway i just have some questions like does the computer matter {BTW i'm on a laptop Intel core Windows 7}

No, as the oneclick root guide says...
Oneclick for all OSs!(Windows, Mac, Linux)

...Or does the amount of storage on your phone matter most of my internal memory is used up but still have memory on my SD (8GB card)..

I don't believe you need a whole lot of room..

i have allot of my phone running on different things (Go Launcher,Go locker...So on ) Also have many pictures and music

If you're worried about losing these things you should back up to your computer or dropbox or picasa or some combination of these before you attempt rooting.

another concern would be i'm using "one click root" (If i decide to even do it it depends on the replies of you) The first link is broke but second link isn't but is different from the first link and i would rather be using the first like because of the instructional videos. so that i DO NOT mess up in anyway shape or form,

Second link contains exactly what the first link contained, you're just downloading from a different server, don't worry about it.

also my last question would be (If fails) Is there ANY software that can restore my phone to normal(Out of box condition) Or will my phone just have to live out the rest of its days as a very expensive paper weight ?

CWM will provide you a better recovery option then what comes stock on the phone - http://androidforums.com/transform-ultra-all-things-root/469534-acs-clockwork-mod-recovery-transform-ultra.html. However you run the same risk installing this as you would rooting your phone.

.... Thank you all for your replies your replies will help my decision allot, With that being said you can message me on Skype "*******" yahoo Msnger/email "********@yahoo.com" or on here which would be best to message me privately or on one of the messengers because i have yet to figure this whole site out Thankyou.

Tyler buddy you have just signed yourself up for an unbelievable amount of spam by listing your email addy here. There are bots that troll the internet looking for people that publish their emails on public forums such as this and then sell it for fun and profit. That of course goes for any public forum, it's just a bad practice all around. I suggest editing your message to protect yourself, it may even be against the forum rules, I know it is against many forum's rules. Good luck to you, I hope I was accurate and helpful.

set it to mass storage. shouldnt need internet. you will still be running stock rom after root. your next step would be to install clockwork mod, then download a rom and flash via clockwork mod. instructions, clockwork mod, and roms are in the "all thing root" forum
