Root Scepter 8 with Magisk

I actually was given this Qlink tablet by a person who understandably didn't want it. I think it might be Samsung because of the screenshot configuration (volume down + power), though they might be too ashamed to put their name on it. It's slow and crashy, and I haven't been able to find out much on specs. However, I have read that developers like it because it can be overclocked and apparently rooted with the latest stable version of Magisk. Does anybody on here have more info about the Qlink Specter 8 tablet? Yes, I know it's government cheese.

where have you seen this. there is no forum over at xda. if the devs really like this tablet than there would be a community for it. but unfortunately, there isn't really anybody supporting this device from the dev community.

i just read the entire thread i linked above and it does seem like that op finally got source code for both the os and kernel. as of yesterday, he is writing a guide on how to root it.

keep an eye out for xda member Viva La Android.....it should be out soon.

Ok guys I finally have a little time off work. I'm going to be working on a full rooting tutorial thread and a firmware restoration thread for any of you who need step-by-step instructions. Also, I have a TWRP port build for the Scepter 8 that is almost stable enough to post. I'm getting it ironed out now.
