Last night I was working on a Cruz T301 tablet for someone and I found there was no automated tools for this, I mean it was a simple process, and I am lazy, so I made one! Might be others, might be posting this wrong, who knows? This is my first time posting and first time releasing one of these things so just roll with it and enjoy.

First and foremost,

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU USE THIS. IF IT BRICKS YOUR DEVICE, TURNS IT INTO A PAPERWEIGHT, RAPES YOUR CHURCHES AND BURNS YOUR WOMEN, OR ANYTHING ELSE TERRIBLE AND HORRIFYING.

It's pretty strait forward.

What it does

This will root your device, install the fast Dalvik MIPS, remove the crap, and install some default Android Apps (Including the Play Store!). ADB Drivers are included, along with the required tools.

Instructions

  1. Download
  2. Install ADB Drivers inside usb_drivers
  3. Run CARA-OneClickRootAndFix.bat
  4. Wait for about 10 minutes
  5. Your done.

I found bits and pieces scattered across google, a bit of it didn't even work, but credit goes out to anyone who participated in those Q&A's.

I made the script, the fixes, compiled it, and automated it all!

Dont ask me, I see know reason why it shouldnt work, but throw a post down anyway and if I, or someone who can figure it out, sees it i'm sure we will make an honest effort to help you.
 
Hey, I'm trying to run this. It looks like it finished, but the tablet just sits on the CRUZ screen. :confused:
 
Yeah, tried that. No dice.

I downloaded a ROM (SJHill?) and flashed that. That got it back.
 
Could you help define the instructions. I have tried to put the root folder in all different places but the root will not work.
 
While using your great batch file on my linux box I had to go line by line. I noticed that the last adb push for opera is overwriting the apk for youtube.

adb push Opera.apk /system/app/YouTube.apk

adb push Opera.apk /system/app/Opera.apk

Also I was able to install the adb drivers but they are in the root of the zip file.

i cant seen to get this thing off the cruz boot screen. i ran through the directions. it rebooted the 1st time and had super user and the amazing bat file u created said it was installing Dalvik Turbo mipps or something and the tablet went to reboot again and this time its stuck on boot screen.
