I've done a few searches but haven't come up with a solution yet.
- Samsung Galaxy i9000 using 2.2 (Froyo)
- Have a Macbook running OS-X 10.5.8
- Want to root and/or upgrade to 2.3 (Gingerbread)
- Can't use Kies because I get an error message saying my device does not support software upgrading via Kies
- I'm on the correct CSC (Aus-Optus)
- Have tried using the wine emulated Odin on the Mac, as mentioned in another thread, but this won't recognise my phone
- Bootcamp Windows not really an option as I don't want to drop the cash on Windows just for this
